RAMS Dashboard

RAMS Dashboard

The RAMS Dashboard provides a centralised overview of your organisation's health and safety documentation status, incident tracking, and crew compliance metrics. All data updates in real time via WebSocket connections, ensuring you always have an accurate picture of your safety posture.

KPI Cards

The top section of the dashboard displays key performance indicator cards:

  • Total RAMS Documents — total count broken down by status (draft, under review, approved, briefed, archived)
  • Pending Approval — number of documents currently awaiting reviewer sign-off
  • Toolbox Talk Attendance — percentage of crew members who have attended their scheduled briefings
  • Incident Counts — total incidents logged, with a separate count for near-miss reports

Quick Action Buttons

Two primary action buttons are positioned prominently on the dashboard for rapid access to the most common tasks:

  • Create RAMS — opens the RAMS Document Builder wizard to begin a new document
  • Schedule Toolbox Talk — opens the toolbox talk scheduling form with date, time, topic, and crew selection

Document List with Status Filtering

The main body of the dashboard includes a filterable document list. You can filter documents by their current workflow status:

  1. Draft — documents still being written or edited
  2. Under Review — submitted documents awaiting approval
  3. Approved — signed-off documents ready to be briefed to crew
  4. Briefed — documents that have been presented to and acknowledged by crew
  5. Archived — historical documents retained for audit trail

Each document row displays the reference number, title, associated project, current status, assigned reviewer, and last updated timestamp.

Recent Incidents Summary

A dedicated panel displays the most recent incident reports, showing the incident reference, date, severity classification, brief description, and current investigation status. This provides immediate visibility of any safety events requiring attention.

CDM Compliance Status

For organisations working under CDM 2015, a compliance status section shows the breakdown of construction phase plans by their current status. This includes counts for plans in draft, those under review, approved plans, and any overdue items requiring urgent attention.

Crew Compliance Metrics

The crew compliance section tracks two primary metrics:

  • Toolbox Talk Attendance Percentage — the proportion of required attendees who have completed their scheduled briefings across all active talks
  • Total Crew Briefed — the cumulative count of individual crew briefings completed within the selected time period

Approval Time Metrics

The dashboard tracks document approval performance to help identify bottlenecks in your safety documentation process:

  • Average Approval Time — the mean number of hours between document submission and final approval
  • 48-Hour Target Compliance — the percentage of documents approved within the recommended 48-hour window

These metrics help organisations ensure that safety documentation does not become a blocker for project mobilisation.

Real-Time Updates

All dashboard data is updated in real time via WebSocket connections powered by Laravel Reverb. When a colleague submits a document for review, logs an incident, or records toolbox talk attendance, the dashboard reflects these changes immediately without requiring a page refresh. This ensures that safety managers always have access to the most current information.
