RAMS Analytics & Reporting

RAMS Analytics & Reporting

The RAMS analytics dashboard provides comprehensive visibility into your organisation’s health and safety documentation, incident trends, and compliance performance. Access the dashboard via the RAMS module navigation, with a date range selector and export button available at the top of the page.

Dashboard KPIs

Six primary KPI cards are displayed at the top of the analytics dashboard:

  1. RAMS by Status — document counts broken down by status: draft, under_review, approved, briefed, and archived
  2. Approval Times — average hours to approval, minimum and maximum times, and the percentage of documents meeting the 48-hour approval target
  3. Most Common Hazards — top 10 hazard categories ranked by frequency of occurrence across all RAMS documents
  4. Crew Compliance — toolbox talk attendance as a percentage of required attendees, plus the total number of crew members briefed
  5. Incident Summary — incident counts grouped by type, number of RIDDOR reportable incidents, and days since the last recorded accident
  6. CDM Compliance — construction phase plan status breakdown showing plans in each lifecycle stage

Hazard Frequency Trends

A 12-month trend view displays hazard occurrences by category on a monthly basis. Months with no recorded hazards are zero-filled to maintain a continuous timeline. This helps identify seasonal patterns and emerging risk areas within your operations.

Risk Assessment Effectiveness

This section measures how well your risk controls are performing:

  • Average risk reduction percentage — the mean reduction from inherent to residual risk scores
  • High-risks reduced count — number of high-risk hazards successfully brought below threshold
  • Controls effectiveness score — overall rating of how well implemented controls are mitigating identified risks

Project RAMS Completion

A per-project compliance snapshot shows the RAMS documentation status for each active project. This allows managers to quickly identify projects with incomplete or outdated risk assessments and take corrective action before work commences.

RAMS Register Report

The full RAMS register report presents every document in a comprehensive table format including all metadata: document number, title, project, status, author, review date, approval date, and linked hazard count. This serves as your organisation’s definitive record of all risk assessment and method statement documentation.

Export Options

Data can be exported in the following formats:

Export Type Format Content
Hazard register CSV All hazards with categories, risk scores, and controls
Approval times CSV Document-level approval duration data
Incident register CSV All incidents with types, severity, and RIDDOR status
Summary reports PDF Formatted analytics summary for management review

Incident Trends

Time-series incident data can be grouped by day, week, month, or quarter. This visualisation helps identify whether incidents are increasing or decreasing over time and whether implemented corrective actions are having the desired effect on workplace safety.

Investigation Metrics

Two key investigation performance indicators are tracked:

  • Average investigation duration — the mean number of days from incident report to investigation closure, helping ensure timely resolution
  • Corrective action completion rate — the percentage of corrective actions completed by their due date, indicating follow-through on safety improvements

Together, these metrics provide a clear picture of how effectively your organisation responds to and learns from workplace incidents.
