Form Branding & Customisation
Form Branding & Customisation
NexusRMS allows you to customise the appearance of your public-facing forms to match your organisation's brand identity. With branding options ranging from logo placement to full custom CSS, your forms present a professional, consistent look that reinforces trust with clients and submitters.
Branding Options
Each form supports the following branding settings:
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Logo URL | Upload your company logo to display at the top of the form. Supported formats include PNG, JPEG, and SVG. |
| Primary Colour | A hex colour value applied to buttons, links, and accent elements throughout the form. |
| Background Colour | A hex colour value for the form page background, allowing you to match your website or brand palette. |
| Font Family | Choose from a selection of web-safe fonts to ensure consistent typography across all devices. |
| Custom CSS | Advanced users can inject custom CSS for full control over the form's visual presentation. |
White-Label Appearance
Public-facing forms display no NexusRMS branding. Only your company logo, colours, and chosen fonts appear on the form. This white-label approach ensures that submitters see your brand exclusively, creating a seamless experience that feels like a natural extension of your website.
Form Rendering
The FormRenderService generates the public-facing HTML for each form. This service applies your branding settings at render time, combining your logo, colour scheme, font choices, and any custom CSS into a polished, ready-to-use form page. Changes to branding are reflected immediately upon saving.
Mobile Responsive
All forms automatically adapt to different screen sizes. Whether a submitter is completing a form on a desktop computer, tablet, or mobile phone, the layout adjusts to provide an optimal experience. Branding elements — including logos and colour schemes — are preserved across all device sizes.
Preview Mode
Before publishing, use Preview Mode to see exactly how your branding changes will appear to submitters. The preview renders the form with all current branding settings applied, allowing you to make adjustments in real time until you are satisfied with the result.
Setting Default Branding
To save time, you can configure default branding values that apply to all newly created forms. Set your logo, primary colour, background colour, and font family once, and every new form will inherit these defaults. Individual forms can still override any default setting as needed.
Applying Branding to a Form
- Open the form in the form builder and navigate to Settings.
- Select the Branding tab.
- Upload your logo or enter the logo URL.
- Set your primary colour and background colour using hex values.
- Choose a font family from the dropdown.
- Optionally, add custom CSS in the advanced section.
- Use Preview to verify the appearance.
- Save your changes.
Tips
- Match your brand colours — use the same hex values as your website for a consistent experience across all touchpoints.
- Keep logos small — optimise logo file sizes for fast page loading, especially for mobile users on slower connections.
- Test on mobile — always preview your branded form on a mobile device to confirm it looks correct on smaller screens.
- Use custom CSS sparingly — complex styles may conflict with the responsive layout. Preview thoroughly after adding custom rules.
- SVG logos often provide the best quality at the smallest file size and scale cleanly across all screen resolutions.
